HIGHLIGHT INFO

Located in the US “Heartland,” nicknamed for its location in the heart of the country and its kind and caring communities, Blue Valley Schools district consists of five high schools accepting international students. These award-winning high schools offer dual enrollment courses for college credit as well as over a dozen AP options.

FACILITIES
Blue Valley's facilities include gymnasiums, modern classrooms, a Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS), a cutting edge research facility that provides mentorships and dual-credit college courses.

SPORTS AND ARTS
Blue Valley students can participate in sports such as basketball, softball, American football and wrestling.
The district’s art students participate in local, regional, and national festivals and competition. Arts options include broadcasting, drama club, and more.

AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Named 2022’s best school district in Kansas by niche.com and highly ranked on the US News and World Report list of Best High Schools. The CAPS program received the 2016-17 Exemplary School Award. In 2018, two Blue Valley graduates were named Presidential Scholars. Over the last 15 years, 17 Blue Valley students have been named US presidential scholars. In 2020, 27 Blue Valley students were named as candidates for the presidential scholar program.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION
Consistently ranked in the top 100 best cities to live in the US by CNN and Money Magazine, Overland Park is a suburb of nearby Kansas City and is the second largest city in the state of Kansas. Kansas City, only 20 minutes away, features cultural and educational destinations such as the Botanical Gardens, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and the Nelson Atkins Museum.
