High schools for international students

Our portfolio includes more than 350 prestigious high schools, each carefully selected based on our experience with what international students value. We’ve been partnering with high schools in the USA and worldwide for 20 years. By collaborating with our schools throughout each student's lifecycle, we ensure that students are prepared and happy with their choices. HIGHLIGHT INFO

Coláiste Éamann Rís (Cercork) is the oldest school on Cork’s southside. Originally founded in 1828 on Sullivan’s Quay by the Christian Brothers, the school has educated over the years to meet the changing needs of Cork City and its young people. In September 2019, the school was rededicated and became Coláiste Éamann Rís – the first English speaking co-educational Catholic secondary school in Cork City. Coláiste Éamann Rís is Irish for Edmund Rice College. The decision to change their name was linked to their change in status as a co-educational school.

As an Edmund Rice Schools Trust School (ERST) they are inspired by the vision of their founder, Blessed Edmund Rice who devoted his life to the service of others. The school motto is Uaisleacht which invokes the strenght of characther, nobility of spirit and kindness of heart to which we encourage all to aspire. The school has a strong focus on fulfilling each students unique potential as not only a student but also a human being. Here each student is entitled to respect but must also give respect to others.

Unlike in other schools at Coláiste Éamann Ris, students meet their tutor every day for a fifteen minute clock and connect period. In this way, the class tutor can clock in on each of their students social, emotional, and academic progress. Each year group is also assigned a Year Head who runs the year group like mini-school – checking absences, behaviour and course results.

The school offers a broad range of extra-curricular activities to further develop their students and encourage them to make good use of their spare time. Amongt others students can engage in Hurling, Gaelic Football, Soccer, Rugby, Athletics, Drama, Robotics and Chess.
