What program is right for you? 

Depending on what you would like to gain from your year abroad, we offer several different programs. Have a look to see what fits you the best. If you’re dreaming about going to high school abroad and are looking for a cultural exchange without any specific requirement then the classic program is for you. If you’re more interested in getting the best education possible and preparing for university then maybe the select program works best for you    

Book Early

Once you have everything in order and have decided to book your exchange year, do it early and keep track of any deadlines! Places can fill up quickly so book it in time to avoid having to wait another year.     

Follow other students on SoMe

If you’re wondering what it is like to study abroad, a tip is to follow former and current students on social media, this a great way to get inspiration, tips and ideas and answers to any questions or concerns that you may have. 

It is also a way to connect and “meet” people before you even leave.  

What sports are you interested in? 

Do you dream about becoming a professional basketball player? Maybe you want to try out american football? Or perhaps cheerleading? Joining a sports team is a good way to be a part of a group and many High Schools welcome beginners and are willing to coach you to be the best you can be.

Avoid culture shocks 

Learning about new cultures is one of the best things about traveling, but it can also be confusing when it is something you might not be used to. Prepare yourself beforehand by doing research about your host country, the culture and their traditions.

If you’re worried about missing home to much while you’re away. Here is a list of things that can be fun or useful during your year abroad to help with homesickness:  

Requirements 

Before deciding to book your trip, make sure that you read through and pass all our requirements to be eligible! 

  • Be 14 – 18 years of age* 
  • Have not graduated high school yet 
  • Have been a full-time student the year before traveling 
  • Have passing grades in all subjects 
  • Be in good health 
  • Have basic English skills 
  • Be mature, flexible, and motivated – important qualities that will set you up for a successful exchange year!
