Gehlen Catholic School is a “Google School” that has four computer labs, iPad charging station, chromebooks, and maintains a 1-1 student to technology ratio. SMART Boards and projectors are also available in almost every class too.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Gehlen offers a wide variety of athletic teams international students can join. The girls’ volleyball team has been great, qualifying for the State tournament for the past nine years. The dance team is also one of the best in the state. The Fine Arts program is equally impressive. Led by a band teacher who has won “Teacher of the Year” several times, the program has preformed at national collegiate events and won the Class 1A State Championship in recent years.

Located east of Sioux City and north of Des Moines, Le Mars has shopping and fine art opportunities for international students to explore. Nicknamed “Yummsville,” Le Mars is the home to Blue Bunny Ice Cream and is the self proclaimed “Ice Cream Capital of the World.”
